Woodward Dream Cruise 2016. Dodge kills it.

I had the opportunity to head down to the cruise last Saturday. I only had a couple hours in the morning to get my fix so I headed down from 15 and Woodward ( only 7 miles from 8 mile and a movie most Metro Detroit residents would like to forget) just down to 13 mile rd.

Maybe GM hadn’t set up their mind bending awesome display yet but what I saw was lack luster compared to this:

Wow I forgot about that show. Kind of like the star in reasonably priced car Top Gear segment.

I wish Leno, Carolla and Seinfeld had done a US Top gear version. I would have been expensive but good.

I think any effort to making a real TG on any network would have been a colossal failure, because the major manufacturers would’ve immediately pulled all ads across the network after the first couple shows. Without ad dollars, TopGear could say anything they wanted about any car they drove—a freedom they’ll get again when they go to Amazon. Happy days.

I’d like to see your triumvirate as guests on that show. Even better? A totally new segment called “Star in Their Own Damn Car” letting a celebrity pick which of their current fleet they want to take around the track. I’d watch that fo’sho’
